Uploaded scanner reports

Your report stays private and every result is checked.

If you choose to photograph or upload a body-composition result sheet, GymBrain stores the original in private cloud storage protected by access controls. Only you and authorised staff at your gym can open it. The upload screen asks for separate, explicit consent because the report and extracted measurements are health data.

GymBrain sends the file to Google Gemini solely to transcribe visible measurements. The system ignores names and contact details, rejects unclear or implausible values and marks every extracted result provisional. A coach must compare the numbers with the original report before approval. This is transcription, not diagnosis or medical advice.

You can delete a report you uploaded from the Scans screen. Deletion removes the private file and its extracted measurements. You can also ask your gym or email hello@gymbrain.ai to withdraw consent or exercise your data rights.

Optional Strava connection

You choose whether your training is shared.

If you connect Strava, GymBrain requests read-only access to eligible activities. We may import the activity name and type, start time, duration, distance, elevation, calories, device name and heart-rate summary when Strava makes those fields available. GymBrain does not post activities or changes back to Strava and does not store routes, maps or precise location.

Imported activity is visible to you and, while your connection and health-data consent remain active, authorised staff at your gym. OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted and kept outside the member-facing database. You can disconnect in the app at any time; this stops new imports and removes the stored connection credentials.

Previously imported activity remains in your GymBrain history after disconnecting so your challenge record does not unexpectedly change. You can ask for that history to be deleted through the in-app account-deletion request, your gym, or hello@gymbrain.ai.

Community guidelines · Version 2026-08-28

Build people up.

GymBrain channels and coach conversations exist to support a gym challenge. Everyone who posts must follow these rules.

  • Be respectful. No bullying, harassment, hate, discrimination, intimidation or deliberate humiliation.
  • Keep people safe. No threats, encouragement of self-harm, sexual exploitation, unwanted sexual content or sharing another person's private information.
  • Keep it genuine. No scams, impersonation, repeated spam or content unrelated to the gym community.
  • Respect ownership. Only share content you are allowed to share.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

GymBrain filters clearly prohibited messages before they are posted. Every member can report a message and block another user inside the app. Reports go to authorised staff at that member's gym, who can remove content or dismiss the report. Blocking hides the other person's group and direct messages for the member who blocked them.

GymBrain and the gym may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these rules. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services rather than relying on an in-app report.
